EUR/JPY hits 4-month lows below 138.00

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The EUR/JPY dropped after Wall Street opening bell to 137.87, reaching levels not seen since February 6. Afterwards the pair bounced slightly to the upside, trimming losses.

Currently is hovering around 138.00, down 0.46% for the day and headed toward the fourth daily loss in a row. During the Asian session the Euro slipped across the baord and then the Yen strengthened as the USD/JPY fell below 102.00.

EUR/JPY approaching 2014 lows

If the pair ends below 138.25 it would post the lowest close in three months and one of the lowest since the beginning of the year. With the decline of the last four days price has approached again 2014 lows that lie at 136.18 (February 4 low).

GBP/USD losing the 1.68 handle on doves

GBP/USD is trading at 1.6796, up 0.24% on the day, having posted a daily high at 1.6813 and low at 1.6738.
