Wall Street advance for fourth day and close around new highs

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US stocks market closed higher for fourth day on Wednesday as investors digested well a set of economic data in the United States. In addition market is speculating about Fed's ongoing stimulus program.

Wall Street completed its first 4-day winning streak in 2 months with the Dow reaching its first record high close in 2014 while the S&P logged a new record high in the morning session.

The Dow Jones advanced 40.39 points or 0.24% in the day to close at 16,573.00; The S&P 500 rose 5.38 pts or 0.29% to finish at 1,890.90; while the Nasdaq added 8.42 pts or 0.20% to 4,276.46.

GBP/USD back to weekly lows

The GBP/USD attempted to recover during the American session but the upside was capped below 1.6640 and Cable fell back to the lows.

AUD/NZD jumps to 1-month highs

The AUD/NZD rose 0.85% on Wednesday and posted the highest daily close in a month at 1.0790.
