The Bank of Japan (BoJ) Governor Kuroda is on the wires again, via Reuters, this time speaking on the easy policy exit strategy.
Key Points:
Too early to lay out conditions for exiting easy policy.
Not appropriate to talk about conditions for the exit now.
Not thinking of conducting another comprehensive review of BoJ's policy.
Sees no problem arising from BOJ's risky asset buying.
If inflation approaches 2%, conditions will gradually fall into place to mull exit.
If conditions fall into place, board could discuss conditions for exit.
If conditions fall into place for exit, BOJ will take into account impact of such a change on the market and communicate appropriately.
