Eurozone CPI stays at 0% year-on-year in April
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The data released by the Eurostat on Tuesday showed the Eurozone annual inflation was 0.0% in April 2015, up from -0.1% in March. In April 2014 the rate was 0.7%.
As per the Eurostat report, the largest upward impacts to euro area annual inflation came from restaurants & cafés (+0.10 percentage points), rents (+0.08 pp) and vegetables (+0.07 pp), while fuels for transport (-0.42 pp), heating oil (-0.17 pp) and gas (-0.07 pp) had the biggest downward impacts.
Meanwhile, Eurozone CPI fell to 0.2% in April month-on-month from 1.1% in March. Core CPI stayed unchanged at 0.6% year-on-year in April.
