GBP/USD falls to lowest level since July 2013

FXStreet (Córdoba) - After a corrective phase that was capped by 1.5025, GBP/USD came under renewed pressure and dropped to a fresh 20-month low during the New York session.

BoE Governor Carney comments warning about GBP strength against EUR is becoming a major headwind for UK exports to the Eurozone halted the pound recovery and sent Cable to its lowest level since July 2013.

At time of writing, GBP/USD is trading at the 1.4885 zone, having scored a low of 1.4874 so far. If Cable breaks below recent low, next supports could be found at 1.4844 (Jul 10 2013 low) and 1.4812 (Jul 9 2013 low).
