Flash: EUR/USD could take a break today - Danske Bank

Danske Bank analysts feel that EUR/USD could be set to have a slow day today.

They feel that following yesterday's broad-based USD rise on strong data and Draghi failing to precommit to further easing, investors could see EUR/USD take a breather on a day with little in the calendar to drive the cross ahead of key Fed speeches later this week. They write, “While sentiment remains fragile not least in emerging markets, some first signs of a stabilisation in risk markets may be underway with notably China worries calming slightly yesterday.”

Flash: NZD/USD midrange following bounce off 0.7700 - BNZ

BNZ Strategist mike Jones notes that following the bounce off 0.7700, NZD/USD is currently sitting around the middle of the recent range at 0.7750.

NZD/USD recording higher levels

NZD/USD had been consolidating along with the AUD/USD in quite an iritic price action between 0.7700-0.7800 since the drop after the FOMC from 0.8051. The pair had been suffering to Chinas woes, although Chinese equities and rates were moderate overnight and the panic appears to be over for now with the PBOC calming markets. We now await US GDP Q1 this afternoon.
