USD/SEK momentarily out of favor

USD/SEK showing very low price volatility across several time frames.

Intraday and daily USD/SEK ATR measures, up from 30 min, simultaneously shrunk to levels not seen in the past four weeks of trading. Markets with extreme low volatility do not perform well because they have less direction for trend following and less volatility for mean reversion. It is advised to wait for an expansion of volatility before entering USD/SEK.

US Dollar on the back-foot as all eyes turn to the FED – hike or no hike?

Broad based US dollar weakness remained the underlying theme in Asia, with markets responding little to the economic data released this session as attention now shifts towards the main highlight of this month – the Fed rate decision, which may or may not see US interest rates increase for the first time in nearly a decade.
